Fresh start to an old blog

I am going to try and catch back up on this blog now. This will be the place to see our family pictures. I have been lax for quite a while as you can see by the dates below. But, I will be keeping up moving forward - and as time allows, I will upload past pictures as well.

This will not be a public blog as my other one turned into (schriefer.blogspot.com). Plus, I do not plan on updating that blog anymore.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Jill and I went to the Spring Festival in Downtown Dallas today to celebrate the Chinese New Year (New Lunar Year). Was small, but had a good time. Click on the picture to check out the pictures we took of the Dragon parade.

Plano Balloon Festival

Tavis & I went to the Plano Balloon Festival Friday night (9/16) for the first time, and saw the "Balloon Glow". All the balloons are lit up without lifting off. And, they let everybody on the field to walk around among the balloons. It was really cool to walk right up to the huge balloons, and feel how hot the "air" was that filled the balloons. Maybe next year we'll try to make a launch!
